We are very excited to announce that Master's in GIS 2014 alumnus Nathan Wasserman has accepted a position at BPG Designs, LLC as a GIS Technician. Nathan works on collecting field data using ArcCollector on Samsung tablets, uses ArcPro to add or modify those data at the office, assists the surveying team in the field with locating ground control points with a Topcon GIS unit, and navigates and operates the onboard computers of the Topcon IP-S2 and IP-S3 mobile mapping LiDAR trucks (see picture below). As Nathan says, because BPG Designs, LLC is a fast-growing company, numerous out of state projects and contracts come to the mapping team. He is currently on his way back to Henderson, Nevada for week two of a large data collection project for Cox Communications. But that is just the beginning. On the radar are more projects, with opportunities to travel, in San Diego and New York City.
