James Cunningham
James helps coordinate and design educational activities, labs, and projects related to the GIST program. He also provides in-person and online teaching support for MSGIST classes. Additionally, James conducts general administrative duties, working closely with GIST staff to support students throughout their tenure with the program.
Prior to joining SGDE, James worked as a GIS specialist and researcher with the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Tech, where he focused on improving transit equity. He holds a BS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, BA in Spanish and a MA in Geography from the University of Arizona. He also holds a MS in Geographic Information Science and Technology (MSGIST) from Georgia Tech.
