This position:
- Provides GIS services to include: mapping, geocoding, spatial analysis
- Trains beginning GIS users
- Develops data used in calculating rates and producing maps
- Maintains GIS software and resources
- Researches GIS problems and potential solutions

- Performs other duties as required.

Knowledge of:
 GIS systems
 ESRI software suite of GIS Software (ArcInfo Arc View, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server) and all related software
 Spatial data, database management systems, development platforms
 High level information technology systems
 Geographic, Social Science and Computer Science Concepts
 Performance management (PM) model and continuous quality improvement (CQI) methods in a public health setting.

 Relate data to answer the specific advanced spatial questions being asked
 To do advanced analysis and produce advanced technical reports
 Participate on teams in the development of unique GIS applications designed to meet specific user and business needs
 Effectively teach complex ideas and methods to staff not trained in GIS
 
Selective Preferences:
 Bachelor’s degree plus 2-4 years of GIS and analysis experience (or equivalent experience)
 Intermediate GIS software training (e.g. extensions)
