The GIS Web Administrator will be part of a GIS Development team tasked with the goal of integrating Esri into Zayo through web and desktop applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Esri’s ArcGIS suite of products make up the core of Zayo’s enterprise GIS solutions. This GIS ecosystem along with Salesforce.com and other fiber management tools is core to Zayo’s architecture and fundamentally supports the company’s overall business strategy
  • GIS Web Administrator will report to Director of GIS and serve as the focal point for all GIS web technologies as part of the broader group of GIS Solutions Development
  • Will be responsible for transitioning our cutting edge fiber visualization systems from Open Source to Esri technologies
  • Will manage and maintain an enterprise ArcGIS Online site with a large amount of users
  • Will manage and maintain multiple enterprise ArcGIS Servers
  • Will develop and deploy geoprocessing services for consumption by non-GIS users

Requirements:

  • A degree in Geography/GIS, Computer Science, or other closely related discipline with a strong focus on geographic concepts and principles in addition to 5-7 years of experience; or 8+ years of demonstrated real world experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Esri’s ArcGIS suite of products including ArcGIS for desktop, ArcGIS for Server, ArcGIS Online, and Enterprise Databases
  • Comfortable building maps and services to be published to ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Online and consumed through various clients
  • Proficient in managing ArcGIS Server settings to handle site load
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing Esri’s JavaScript API to create web apps and services
  • Solid analytical aptitude and strong problem solving skills are required
