Dr. Fernando Sanchez begins a tenure-track a position with the University of Montana
Congratulations to Dr. Fernando Sanchez who has accepted a tenure-track assistant professor position in Native American Studies and Environmental Studies at the University of Montana. He will also be the director of the Elouise Cobell Land and Culture Institute with the mission to advance interdisciplinary scholarship, education, and service to empower Native American communities and foster Indigenous resilience.
Fernando has been a Professor of Practice with the GIST program for five years and he will be missed! He writes, “The years that I have spent at the University of Arizona have been deeply enriching and I am proud of having had the opportunity to teach such a wonderful crew of insightful and hard-working students.”
