John Danloe Gets a New Job

We are sad to report that after over two years of diligent work for the Masters of Science in Geographic Information Systems Technology (MS-GIST) in person program, John Danloe is moving on to greener pastures.  During John’s tenure at the University of Arizona John’s incredible hard work ethic and drive to get the most out of each and every student was outstanding.  Dr. Lukinbeal frequently mentioned that hiring John was one of the best things he every did for the GIST cluster at UA.  We are excited that John has found a great new position and therefore will continue to be an active member of the local GIS community.  John Danloe graduated from the MS-GIST program in 2013.

John has accepted a position as a GIS Technician for Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department.  His main duties include maintaining existing sewer network in GIS system while adding in new/remediated features to database as they are created. Current projects include integrating historical Pima County sewer connection record information to foster even greater sewer network accuracy; working on integrating sanitary sewer easements into RWRD/Pima County GIS datasets; and interpreting plats/as-builts to incorporate sewer information into existing GIS database for internal use and external delivery for the public.

We are all so proud of John and wish him well in his new position.
