Leslie Carpenter, a 2012 MS-GIST student, begins a new job as an Environmental & Land Use Planner with Tucson Electric Power. Her main responsibility will be to provide the Senior Environmental and Land Use Planner with technical assistance and to coordinate the processing of environmental and land use permits for distribution and transmission system reinforcement utility projects. She will also provide GIS support within Land Management, maintain database information, and acts as a liaison within the local GIS planning community.
