MS-GIST 2015 Alumna Rachael Cushman Hired by Knight Federal Solutions

Many recent graduates from the MS-GIST Class of 2015 have already been hired in GIS positions across the country. This particular hire story comes just east of Tucson in Fort Huachuca, Arizona.

Rachael Cushman, a 2015 MS-GIST alumna, has accepted a position as a government contractor with Knight Federal Solutions. Rachael will be working as a GIS Analyst, providing support to the United States Army in order to enhance their ability to utilize live fire ranges while minimizing environmental impact. She will be maintaining the data layers and geodatabases in order to analyze and create maps that will allow the Sustainable Range Program to provide access to safe range training while preserving endangered plant and animal species as well as reduce soil erosion and preserve historical sites. Additionally, Rachael will produce and maintain military installation maps to be included in proposals for future range maintenance proposals.

Rachael did an excellent job during her time in the 2015 MS-GIST Program, and we are confident that her good work will carry over to her new position with Knight Federal Solutions. We are proud of you, Rachael!
