Phillip Brown, 2012 MS-GIST Alumni, Lands a Job in Phoenix

Phillp Brown, a 2012 alumni from the Masters of Science in Geographic Information Systems Technology program, has a new job as a GIS technician with Global Water.  Global Water owns and operates regulated water and wastewater utilities and is one of the world’s leading innovators in Total Water Management Over the past few years, Global Water has purchased a number of water utility companies in the area. They have used the water utility plants to turn waste water into renewable water. Recently, they have created an product called FATHOM, which they sell to other water utility plants to help them more efficiently manage their plants. For example, FATHOM allows from utilities to better manage leak-loss and ensure they are billing all their customers. 
Phillip will be providing support for the development and maintenance of the FATHOM client’s Geographic Information System (GIS), its operations and users. Other duties will include: assisting with developing and maintaining GIS databases; preparing maps and GIS documents; and provides support and training to users.
