It gives us great pleasure to announce that MS-GIST 2015 Alumna Sandy Steichen has accepted a position as the Principal Hydrologist with Pima County Flood Control based in Tucson, Arizona. Sandy has prior experience working as a hydrologist during her time with Stantec, but will now be incorporating her newly acquired GIS expertise gained during the MS-GIST Program to facilitate floodplain management in Pima County.

Sandy says that she is excited about this new career opportunity, and we are excited about it, as well. Huge news, Sandy! Help keep us safe from the 100 year floods!
