Our Geographic Information Science and Technology (GIST) program offers innovative pathways for students to enter or advance in the geospatial industry. With a dynamic, learner-centered approach, the program emphasizes project-based learning, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving, fostering collaboration among students, faculty, and industry professionals. The goal of this degree program is to provide advanced education in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geographic Information Science (GIScience), and Geographic Information Technology (GIT) to meet the global demand for skilled geospatial professionals. Our program focuses on training for both entry-level and career advancement in the geospatial industry. This is a professional degree designed to equip students with practical skills, but it is not necessarily a terminal degree.
