TerraSystems Southwest, Inc., a Tucson-based GIS consultancy since 1998, welcomes Brittany McKnight to the TSSW team. A 2013 MS-GIST graduate, Ms. McKnight was selected as the first candidate under a paid internship program to assist in the analysis and development of an Arizona statewide geocoding service that can be used by the Arizona Broadband Mapping Project (AZBMP), and other State initiatives, to increase rates and accuracy of locating addresses in Arizona. The AZBMP, in cooperation with the Arizona E9-1-1 Program Office and the Arizona Department of Transportation, has developed a statewide road network and address point database from local contributors and is now analyzing the best way to integrate and make these databases available to statewide government participants. One effort is to offer a geocoding service from the new State AZGEO server. Ms. McKnight will be assisting in the development of the address locator service.
